METRO - School Partnerships:
Portland Public Schools:
Through a partnership between METRO and Portland Public Schools, all students attending Casco Bay, Deering and Portland High Schools receive a METRO Student Transit Pass to use the METRO system for school transportation.
The pass also provides transportation access to students after school, nights, weekends and during school breaks.
METRO and PPS will also provide access throughout July and August 2017.
Current high school students should continue to use their (BLUE) METRO STUDENT TRANSIT PASS.
The expiration date of June 30, 2017 has been extended;
current passes can be used through the beginning of the 2017/2018 school year.
Rising 10-12 grade students will receive their new 2017/2018 METRO STUDENT TRANSIT PASS during the first week of school (in SEPT 2017).
Current 8th grade students (rising 9th graders) will receive transit passes at the end of the current school year.
METRO staff will provide orientations ,in early June,at the three middle schools: Lincoln, King and Lyman-Moore.
Students will have access to METRO routes throughout the summer.

Through a partnership between METRO and Baxter Academy, students requiring transportation receive a METRO Student Transit Pass.
Students are asked to check with the school for additional information and guidelines.
Regular youth fare,18 and younger, is $1 for regular local service.
METRO BREEZ express service between Portland, Yarmouth and Freeport is $2 each way.
NOTE: Two children, five and under, ride free with passenger paying fare.)
SUMMER YOUTH BUS PASS - 2017
METRO Summer Youth Bus Passes will be sold at the METRO PULSE at Elm Street, beginnning in mid-May, 2017.
Summer Youth Passes are $20. Valid throughout June, July and August.
These passes are valid on METRO local service only.*
*Passes can not be used on South Portland Bus Service, Lakes Region or ZOOM/ShuttleBus.
