SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS

METRO does not offer special service for school-sponsored field trips.
School officials are encouraged to call METRO at 774-0351 for advice when planning field trips.
Although seating is not guaranteed, there may be an opportunity to take advantage of "Off Peak" service times when planning a function. School officials should call five business days in advance of the planned activity and provide METRO with:
1. Total number of passengers (teachers, parents and students)
2. Departure time (from origination stop)
3. Return time (from destination stop)
Upon receipt of the above, a METRO representative will provide school officials with the most optimum time to travel. Due to the size and configuration of a METRO bus, school officials should not exceed a total number of 15 passengers when planning school sponsored field trips.
To minimize delays while boarding the bus for field trips, teacher/chaperones can present a current photo ID to the bus operator, which would allow all students to ride for $1.

Teachers, parents and chaperones pay one-way bus fare of $1.50 for regular fare; 75 cents for seniors and persons with disabilities.  (exact change is required).
